Cuteness

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cats are considered by some to be cute animals.

Cuteness refers to an appealing appearance and behavior. It is mostly associated with baby-like traits like round faces and large eyes. This can also apply to humans, animals, or objects. This often causes a biological desire to care for clumsy creatures. Cultural influences, like anime from Japan, can shape different views of cuteness. Animation often depicts less liked species, such as spiders, in a cute way. This helps their survival, while overuse of importance on cuteness can negatively impact the animals that were bred for it. An example of this is pugs, which may suffer health issues. Cuteness can cause "cute aggression," where people feel a contrary urge to squeeze or pinch cute things. This causes an emotional overflow rather than a cause to harm something. This represents the dual expression in psychology, where external reactions are separated from one's true feelings.
