David Stronach

David Bruce Stronach OBE FSA ((1931-06-10)June 10, 1931[1](2020-06-27)June 27, 2020) was a British archeologist of ancient Iran and Iraq. He was an emeritus professor at the University of California, Berkeley. He was recipient of the 2004 Archaeological Institute of America (AIA) Gold Medal for "Distinguished Archaeological Achievement".[2] Stronach was an expert on the city of Pasargadae.

Stronach died on June 27, 2020 at the age of 89.[3]
