Dean Paul Carlson (August 1, 1950 – August 5, 2022) was an American professional football player. He was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Iowa State Cyclones. He played in the National Football League between 1972 to 1974 for the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers.

Carlson died on August 5, 2022 in Clinton, North Carolina four days after his 72nd birthday.[1]
