Campaign[change | change source]

In polls by the Public Policy Polling in Iowa, Minnesota, and North Carolina in August of 2015, he got 8, 8, and 9 percent. He also got a large amount of attention from the media.[3][4] On October 11, 2015, Deez Nuts wrote on his Facebook page that he would run for the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives. He said that he was able to be The Speaker even though he was not in the House of Representatives.

In August of 2016, a poll showed that people in Texas would rather vote for Deez Nuts than Green Party candidate Jill Stein. Harambe, a dead gorilla had 2% of the vote.[5]

Olson also supported Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders for the Democratic nomination and Ohio Governor John Kasich for the Republican nomination.[6]
