Deng Yu (2–58 AD) was a statesman and military commander in Eastern Han dynasty. He contributed to the unification of China. In 57 AD, Deng became Grand Tutor. He held this title until his death.

- Deng Yu's biography in Book of the Later Han indicated that he was 57 (by East Asian reckoning) when be died. Thus by calculation, his birth year should be 2 AD.
