Desmond Michael Lynam (born 17 September 1942) was an British television and radio presenter. He was born in Ennis, County Clare, Republic of Ireland. He was best known for presenting the BBC's sport coverage such as Grandstand.

Lynam also presented Countdown on Channel 4 from 2005 to 2006. He was replaced by Des O'Connor.
