Diyu (traditional Chinese: 地獄; "earth prison") is hell in Chinese mythology. It is based on Naraka concept about the afterlife.

Illustration from the 19th century Jade Record, showing sinners being tortured in the sixth court of hell.

Diyu looks like a underground maze with many chambers. Souls are taken here to atone their sins during their life.
