Domodedovskaya
Domodedovskaya is a station on the Moscow Metro. It is on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line (the Green Line). The station opened on December 30, 1984. It is named after the city of Domodedovo and the Domodedovo International Airport, which are located south of Moscow.
The station has a design from the 1980s. It has a three-span structure with two rows of 26 thin columns. These columns are covered with grey and white marble. The main theme of the station is "aviation and the sky of Russia". The walls are decorated with metal pictures that show modern passenger airplanes and the history of Russian flight.[1]
Domodedovskaya is a very busy and important transport hub in the south of Moscow. Outside the station, there is a large bus station. Buses and taxis go from here to Domodedovo Airport. This makes the station a main stop for millions of travelers and tourists every year.
