Wahjoe Sardono, also known as Dono (September 30, 1951 – December 30, 2001), was an actor, comedian, and lecturer from Indonesia. He was part of the comedy group Warkop. Born in Delanggu, Klaten, Dono started his career while studying at Universitas Indonesia (UI), where he worked as a cartoonist and social activist. He later became a research assistant under Professor Selo Soemardjan, a sociology lecturer at UI, and began giving lectures with Paulus Wirutomo.[2]
After graduating, Dono became well-known with Warkop, appearing in 34 comedy films from 1980 to 1995. They also had successful television series from 1996 to 2001. Dono was also active as a writer, creating several novels and writing numerous articles on social issues in the media until his death from lung cancer in late 2001.[3]
