Early childhood education

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Early chidlhood education or nursery education is a branch of education science. It is about the question of how to educate children, up to about age eight. Between birth and age eight (third grade in school) children develop many skills. This branch started during the period of the Enlightenment, mainly in Europe, where there were high literacy rates. As there are different ideas to child development, there are also different ideas on what early childhood education should look like.
