Ehud Olmert (born 30 September 1945 in Binyamina) is an Israeli politician. He was the 12th Prime Minister of Israel between 14 April 2006 and 31 March 2009.

In 2006 he switched from Likud to newly formed Kadima.

He was the head of Kadima until September 2008.[1]

Olmert is currently spending time in prison because of a conviction of breach of trust and a conviction of bribery.
