The Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt, also called the Thutmoside Dynasty, was the first dynasty of the New Kingdom of Egypt. They ruled ancient Egypt from Ahmose I's exile of the Hyksos in 1550 BCE until the death of Horemheb in 1292 BCE, when Ramesses I founded the Nineteenth Dynasty.[1]

Some important Eighteenth Dynasty pharaohs were Tutankhamun, Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, and Nefertiti.
