5°32′33″N 7°13′45″E / 5.54250°N 7.22917°E / 5.54250; 7.22917 Ekwerazu (or Ekwereazu) is a town in southeastern Nigeria. It is in the Imo State, in the local government area of Ahiazu Mbaise. It is made up of the villages of Eleke na Owasi, Eziama, Ihite Afo Ukwu, Mpam, Oboohia, Ogbo, Opara na Dim, Umuchieze, Umuhu Ocha, Umuokirika and Okirika Nweke. Okirika Nweke is made up of Umuevu and Akpim which previously were part of Umuokirika.

Most development is from self-help community efforts. The people and their leaders usually meet every eight days at the Eke Okwe market square to talk about matters affecting the community.
