Elaine of Corbenic is a fictional character in the King Arthur stories. She and Lancelot are the parents of Galahad. She is the daughter of King Pelles. Pelles sent Elaine to have a son with Lancelot, who would then be named Galahad. Galahad later retrieved the Holy Grail to heal Pelles from a sickness. Queen Guinevere was angry with Lancelot for having a son with Elaine, so she said that she never wanted to see him again. Lancelot went mad with despair, so Elaine used the Holy Grail to heal him.
