Elizabeth D. "Betty" Phillips

Elizabeth D. "Betty" Phillips (née Capaldi; c. 1945 – September 23, 2017) was an American educator and administrator. She was born in Rochester, New York. She was the Director of University of Florida Online. She resigned abruptly after serving only three months in that position, without explanation.[1] She previously served as provost and executive vice president of Arizona State University (2006-2013) and provost of the University of Florida (1996-1999), among other administrative positions.

Phillips died in Gainesville, Florida from brain cancer on September 23, 2017 at the age of 72.[2]
