European Terrestrial Reference System 1989

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The European Terrestrial Reference System 1989 (ETRS89) is a geodetic system used for the Eurasian Plate. Since it is static, it is not affected by Continental Drift.

The Making of ETRS is connected to geodetic system called The ITRS Geodetic datum. The datum shows continental drift in a way that the momentum of continental drift is 0.

ETRS89 was officially made by the Florence meeting of EUREF in 1990.
