Evan Brophey (born December 3, 1986) is a Canadian ice hockey centre. He currently plays for the EHC Red Bull München of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). He has also played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Chicago Blackhawks and Colorado Avalanche.

Before playing in the NHL, Brophey played parts of 7 years in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Barrie Colts, Belleville Bulls, and the Plymouth Whalers.

He was drafted 68th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. On May 15, 2007, the Blackhawks signed him to a three-year entry level contract.[1] On October 23, 2010, the Blackhawks recalled Brophey from their AHL-affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs. He made his NHL debut the same day in a 3-2 loss against the Columbus Blue Jackets.[2]

On July 8, 2011, he signed a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche as a free agent.[3] The Avalanche sent him to their AHL-affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters. He was recalled by the Avalanche on December 16, 2011.

On July 30, 2013, he signed as a free agent to a one-year deal with EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL).[4] He signed a one-year contract with EHC Red Bull München on June 5, 2014.[5]
