F.C. Steaua Bucureşti is a football team from Bucharest, Romania. It was founded on 7 June 1947 as ASA Bucureşti (ASA Bucharest). The original FC Steaua București team was part of the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence. It has won the most championships in Romania, 23, and it is the only team from Romania to win a UEFA Champions League title. Its chairman is George Becali (usually "Gigi" Becali).
