Family Jr. was a Canadian children's television channel, a part of the specialty channel Family Channel. The channel is aimed at pre-school children.

The channel started on November 2, 1999. It was a Canadian version of family X under licence from family Channels It changed to. Astral Media was bought by Bell Media. This caused Family Channel and family jr to be a part of DHX Media (now WildBrain) in 2018.

In 2018, DHX lost its rights to nickjrprogramming. The name of DHX's famliy x channel was changed to Family Jr in September 2018. It was a brand extension of Family Channel.

Along with its French-language counterpart, Télémagino, Family Jr. can be watched in over 4 million Canadian homes. This started in 2018.[1]

On August 25, 2025, WildBrain announced that it was unable to renew its carriage agreements with Rogers Cable. It therefore announced plans to close all of its specialty channels in the near future, as the loss of these carriage agreements meant the channels had lost most of their value and were "no longer commercially viable".[2] Eventually, it was confirmed that the channel would close on October 23, at around 6 AM Eastern.[3][4] The last show to air on this channel will be the Arthur episode "D.W.'s Stray Netkitin / Bats in the Belfry".[4]
