Fay Weldon

Fay Weldon CBE FRSL (born Franklin Birkinshaw; 22 September 1931 – 4 January 2023) was a British author, essayist and playwright.[1] Weldon's most known work is her novel The Life and Loves of a She-Devil (1983), which she wrote at the age of 52.

Weldon was born in Birmingham. She lived in New Zealand until the age of 15. She was married three times and had four children.

Weldon died on 4 January 2023, at the age of 91.[2]
