Fels-Naptha is an American brand of laundry soap. Fels and Company invented Fels-Naptha in 1893. It is still sold, and is manufactured by Summit Brands.
In 1866, the original Fels & Company was established by Lazarus Fels and his son Abraham in Baltimore, Maryland. It unexpectedly failed after some period of success. The new Fels & Company of Philadelphia began selling Fels-Naptha soon after its invention.
