Fernando del Paso

Fernando del Paso Morante (April 1, 1935 – November 14, 2018) was a Mexican novelist, essayist and poet.

Biography[change | change source]

He was born in Mexico City. Del Paso studied at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). He lived in London for 14 years.

Del Paso worked for British Broadcasting Corporation. He was a member of Colegio Nacional de México from 1996 to 2018.[1] In 2015, he was awarded the Miguel de Cervantes Prize.

Del Paso died on November 14, 2018 in Mexico City at the age of 83.[2]
