Summary

Description
English: Spirogyra.   It's amazing the beauty that there is to be found in things one normally finds unappealing.  Is there any better example of this than Spirogyra?  This is usually found as the yucky green scum on top of stagnant water.  Yes, pond scum.  I bet you didn't realize how beautiful pond scum really is, did you?   This image was taken using my 10× objective and my 15× eyepiece.  The scale that you see across this image is built into the 15× eyepiece; and when used with the 10× objective, the numbered ticks represent a distance of 122 µM.  This image covers an area approximately 568 by 427 µM.
