Description
English: MOSCOW. A meeting was held at noon on 22 August 1991 near the RSFSR House of the Soviets in honour of the victory of Russian democracy over the reaction and was attended by many thousands of people. The tricolour Russian flag flew on the podium and it was on that very day that it acquired the status of a Russian state symbol. Russian President Boris Yeltsin congratulated the crowd on their victory and expressed his most profound thanks to those who had gathered during the preceding days and nights to defend democracy.
Magyar: MOSZKVA. Tömeggyűlést tartanak 1991. augusztus 22-én délben az OSzSzSzK Szovjetek Háza közelében az orosz demokrácia reakció felett aratott győzelmének tiszteletére több ezer jelenlévővel. A pódium fölött az orosz trikolor lobog, mely ezen a napon vált Oroszország állami jelképévé. Borisz Jelcin, az OSzSzSzK elnöke gratulál a tömegnek a győzelemhez, egyben kifejezte legőszintébb elismerését mindazoknak, akik a megelőző napokban és éjszakákon a demokrácia védelmében összegyűltek.
Русский: МОСКВА. Победе российской демократии над реакцией был посвящен многотысячный митинг, состоявшийся в полдень 22 августа у здания Дома Советов РСФСР. Трехцветный российский флаг, вывешенный на трибуне, именно в этот день приобрел статус российской государственной символики. Президент РСФСР Борис Ельцин поздравил собравшихся с победой, высказал самую высокую признательность тем, кто в эти дни и ночи встал на защиту демократии.
