Description

Chatham Dockyard, Kent,England has the finest collection of 18th and 19th century naval dockyard buildings many of which are scheduled as ancient monuments. Originally, a mast house made from the recycled timber from a single warship, a 2nd rate ship of the line, probably built in Chatham around 1760. Then used by Capstan Makers, Wheelwrights Pumpmakers and Coak and Treenail makers.
