Deutsch: Das Wappen und die Flagge wurden am 19. August 1965 vom Innenministerium verliehen. Die Gemeinde wünsche sich als Wappenzeichen eine Silberdistel, da es für die Albflora eine charakteristische Pflanze darstellt sowie auch auf der Gemarkung Böttingens beheimatet ist.
