Object history
Deutsch: Die drei roten heraldischen Rosen entsprechen dem Stammwappen des altbayerischen Adelsgeschlechts der Törring, die seit dem 13. Jahrhundert in Jettenbach und Umgebung reich begütert und als Hofmarksherrschaft im Gemeindegebiet und weit darüber hinaus von großer Bedeutung waren. Jettenbach war seit dem Hochmittelalter ein Hauptsitz der verzweigten Familie, die 1630 in den Grafenstand erhoben wurde und sich seit 1860 Törring-Jettenbach nennt. Das Flammenschwert, Attribut des heiligen Michael, verweist auf das Patrozinium der auf Gemeindegebiet gelegenen St.-Michaels-Kirche in Grafengars.
