Object history
Deutsch: Die Teilung von Rot und Blau sowie Schlüssel und Schwert, die Attribute der Apostel Petrus und Paulus, sind vom Wappen des Klosters Beuerberg übernommen, dem die Kirchen von Degerndorf seit 1212 und von Münsing seit 1355 inkorporiert waren. Die heraldische Lilie, ein Mariensymbol, verweist auf die Patrozinien der Kirchen von Münsing (Mariä Himmelfahrt), Ambach (Muttergotteskapelle) und St. Heinrich (St. Maria). Die Wellen im Schildfuß versinnbildlichen die Lage der Gemeinde im Hügelland zwischen Starnberger See und Loisach. Die Orte Ammerland, Holzhausen, Ambach und St. Heinrich liegen unmittelbar am Ostufer des Sees.
