Object history
Deutsch: Der blaue Wellenbalken symbolisiert die Lage der Gemeinde an der Würm. Der grüne Plan (Boden) redet für den Ortsnamen Planegg. Die rote Eule im silbernen Feld entspricht dem Wappen der Familie Hörwarth. Der bayerische Kanzler Hans Georg von Hörwarth (gestorben 1622), der unter Herzog Maximilian eine wichtige Rolle in der bayerischen Politik spielte, erwarb 1616 die im 15. Jahrhundert um den Sedlhof und das Schloss entstandene Hofmark Planegg. Die Familie Hörwarth übte die Grund- und Gerichtsherrschaft über Planegg und die benachbarte Hofmark Seeholzen (Gräfelfing, Lochham) über ein Jahrhundert lang aus. Planegg befand sich bis 1732 in Besitz der Hörwarth.
