Object history
Deutsch: Die zweitürmige Kirche ist aus dem Wappen des Augustinerchorherrenstifts Herrenchiemsee übernommen, das bis zur Säkularisation 1803 den ganzen Zehent und einige Anwesen in Prutting besaß und dem die örtliche Kirche inkorporiert war. Schlüssel und Palmzweig stammen aus dem Abteiwappen des Reichsstifts St. Emmeram in Regensburg, deren Propstei Vogtareuth über den Großteil der Anwesen im Gemeindegebiet bis 1803 die Grundherrschaft ausübte. Der Wellenschildfuß versinnbildlicht den ortsbildprägenden Weiher in Prutting und die Seen in der Umgebung (Rinsersee, Hofstätter See, Simssee).
