Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Rügland besteht seit 1977 aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Rügland und Unternbibert. Der Zinnenschildhaupt stellt die Ruine Rosenberg über dem Methlachtal dar, dem ehemaligen Sitz der Herren von Vestenberg. Der goldene Balken in schwarzem Feld ist das Wappen der Freiherren von Crailsheim. Seit 1584 sind sie im Besitz von Rügland und errichteten hier 1611 das alte Schloss und 1713 das neue, das noch heute im Besitz der Familie ist. Die beiden Hirschstangen sind dem Wappen der Schenk von Schenkenstein entnommen, von deren Burg in Unternbiberg noch der Burgstall zu sehen ist.
