Object history
Deutsch: Das Wappen vereint die Symbole der zwei für das Gemeindegebiet prägenden Adelsgeschlechter. Die drei goldenen Pfähle in Rot in der vorderen Hälfte stehen für die Runtinger, ein in Verbindung mit der Burg Runding erstmals 1118 im Gefolge der Markgrafen von Cham nachweisbares Ministerialengeschlecht. Der blaue Balken in Gold in der hinteren Hälfte zeigt das Familienwappen der Nothafft, die 1413 den Besitzanteil von Michel Runtinger übernahmen und bis 1829 in der Herrschaft, zuletzt im Patrimonialgericht Runding Herrschaftsrechte ausübten.
