Object history
Deutsch: Im Jahr 1955 wurde Senden zum Markt, 1975 zur Stadt erhoben. Der Fluss im Wappen deutet auf die Lage der Stadt an der Iller hin. Die Lilie stammt aus dem Wappen der Fugger und erinnert an die fast 300 Jahre währende Fuggersche Herrschaft Oberkirchberg in Senden und seinen heutigen Stadtteilen. Im Jahr 1507 erwarb der Augsburger Jakob Fugger erste Gebiete in Wullenstetten. Bis 1806 hatten die Fugger die Ortsherrschaft inne.
