Object history
Deutsch: Die Zinnenschrägteilung bildet die Grundlage des Gemeindewappens. Sie ist vom Wappen des altbayerischen Rittergeschlechts der Ebrane von Wildenberg übernommen. Hänslin Ebran von Lauterbach erbaute ab 1272 das Schloss Wildenberg und formte unter Einbeziehung des Gutes Pürkwang die ausgedehnte Hofmark Wildenberg. Über drei Jahrhunderte lang en die Ebrane von Wildenberg in enger Beziehung zum Ort. Das Schildchen mit dem Andreaskreuz erinnert an das Andreas-Patrozinium der Pfarrkirche in Pürkwang.
