This image shows (or resembles) the flag of South Africa as used from 1928 to 1994. In South Africa, public display of this flag for purposes other than genuine artistic, academic or journalistic expression is considered to be prohibited hate speech in terms of the order of the Supreme Court of Appeal in the case Afriforum NPC v Nelson Mandela Foundation Trust and Others.
