Summary

Description

George Butler Sutton tobacco card. Sutton was a dominant player of straight rail and balkline billiards in the late 19th century and early 20th century.

This card has often been described as an erroneous representation of double-amputee billiards player George H. Sutton; however, in addition to the fact that the man represented has both hands and both forearms, the facial hair of the man shown here is that of George Butler Sutton.)
