Description
Deutsch: Die Kirchenburg Ostheim gilt mit einer Grundfläche von 75 mal 75 Metern als die größte und besterhaltene Kirchenburg in Deutschland. Die Kirchenburg liegt in der unterfränkischen Stadt Ostheim vor der Rhön im Landkreis Rhön-Grabfeld und ist ab 1400 entstanden. Die im 17. Jahrhundert erbauten Kirche wird von einer doppelten Ringmauer mit fünf Wehrtürme, die mit sechs Bastionen auf halber Mauerlänge verstärkt ist, umgeben.
