Description
English: Messel Fossil Pit (Eocene, Germany), viewed from its southern rim with view to the northeast. The whitish slopes on the left (north) belong to the waste dump of the nearby factory of the Ytong company.
Deutsch: Grube Messel (Eozän) vom Südrand aus gesehen, Blickrichtung ist nordost. Die weißen Abhänge links im Bild (Norden) gehören zur Ausschusshalde des nahe gelegenen Ytong-Werkes.
