In moderne Wöör: All de Welt Herrlichkeit is as en Bloom, de hüüt wasst un morgen vergeit. Den Herrn sien Woord blifft in Ewigkeit.
Deutsch: Niederdeutsche Inschrift an einem Haus in Hameln. Übersetzt: All der Welt Herrlichkeit ist wie eine Blume, die heute wächst und morgen vergeht. Des Herren Wort bleibt in Ewigkeit.
English: Inscription in Middle Low German on a house at Hameln. Translation: All the world's magnificence is like a flower that grows today and vanishes tomorrow; the Lord's word remains in eternity.
