English: Side View of Sun Temple, Modhera Sun temple at Modhera in Mehsana district is a finest example of temple architect in Gujarat, built in 11th century A.D. on the bank of river Pushpavati, a tributary of river Rupen situated at distance of 30 kms from Patan city. It is build on a platform facing east, in the region of Solanki ruler Bhimdeva I(1022 - 1063 A.D.)
