Summary

Description
English: The Word of Life is a large mural on the side of the Theodore Hesburgh Library depicting the resurrected Jesus. Designed by Millard Sheets, it was installed in 1964 as a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Howard V. Phalin. Stemming from the fashion in which Jesus' arms are raised and its visibility from Notre Dame Stadium, the mural has become popularly known as "Touchdown Jesus".
