Wie schon im Mannschaftskampf, war auch das Mehrkampffinale ein Beweis für die Überlegenheit des Frauen-Turnens, der sozialistischen Länder. Medaillengeschmückt und überglücklich verlassen die Siegerinnen des glanzvollen Turniierereignisses, Karin Janz (DDR, Silber), Ludmilla Turistsschewa (Gold) und Tamara Lasakowitsch (Bronze, beide UdSSR, v..l.) die Wettkampfstätte.
