Frédéric Jousset (born 3 May 1970) is a French businessman and philanthropist. He is the founder and co‑chairman of Webhelp, a business process outsourcing company headquartered in France. He has also served as a board member of the Louvre Museum since December 2016.[1]
Biography
[change | change source]Jousset is the son of Marie‑Laure Jousset, chief curator at the Centre Pompidou, and Hubert Jousset, chairman of GEFIP and the École normale de musique de Paris. He graduated from HEC Paris in 1992.[2] He began his career in 1994 at Kérastase (L’Oréal). Four years later he founded his first company, Clientis SA, a software publisher for beauty salons. He then joined the American strategy consultancy Bain & Company as a strategic consultant.[3]
In June 2000, he co‑founded Webhelp SA with Olivier Duha. The company originally provided IT support services and later expanded into call center operations and business process outsourcing. By 2019, the group employed 55,000 people and generated €1.45 billion in revenue.[4]
In 2012, Jousset received the HEC Mercury Award for Entrepreneurship and, together with Olivier Duha, was named Manager of the Year in 2013 by Le Nouvel Économiste/Financial Times.[5]
