Fred Akers
Fred Akers (March 17, 1938 – December 7, 2020) was an American football player and coach. He was head football coach at the University of Wyoming from 1975 to 1976, the University of Texas at Austin from 1977 to 1986 and Purdue University from 1987 to 1990. Akers was born in Blytheville, Arkansas.
Akers died on December 7, 2020 at the age of 82.[1]
