Garapan (Old Japanese name: 柄帆町, Garapan-chō) is the largest village on the island of Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. It is also the center of the tourism industry on the island. Garapan has an area of 1.2 km2 (0.46 sq mi)[1] and a population of 3,588 (census of population, 2000).[2] It is a census-designated place.
