Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is an American supernatural fantasy comedy movie. It was released on March 22, 2024 in North America.[1] It is the fifth movie in the Ghostbusters movie franchise and is the sequel to the 2021 movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife.[2] It was directed by Gil Kenan.[3]

Principal photography for the movie started in London, England on March 20, 2023 and ended on June 23.[4][5] The release of the movie was supposed to be on March 29, 2024 but was moved up to March 22 because of the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.[6]

In the movie, the new Ghostbusters team up with old Ghostbusters to try and defeat a creature before it can destroy their city and freeze Earth.[7]

Reception

The movie recieved mixed reviews from critics. It holds a 44% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.[8]
