Gilles Grondin (3 February 1943 – 18 July 2005) was a Canadian politician. He was the mayor of Shawinigan-Sud, Quebec from 1977 to 1985. He was also a member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of Canada from 1986 to 1988. He represented the electoral area of Saint-Maurice. During this time, he was a part of the Liberal Party.

As a politician, he was the mayor of Shawinigan-Sud for two terms.[1] He did not try to get elected for a third time. Instead, he was elected in a by-election in 1986 to replace Jean Chrétien. This was for the federal House of Commons. In the 1988 federal election, he did not run for re-election. He was replaced by Denis Pronovost, who was a part of the Progressive Conservative Party.

Grondin died in 2005. He had cancer for a very long time.[2]
