A gold bar, also known as gold bullion or a gold ingot, is the quantity of refined metallic gold that can be shaped in many forms. It can be created for manufacture, labeling, and record-keeping.[1] These bars carry a small premium over the spot price of gold. While most kilobars have a flat appearance, brick-shaped bars exists among some investors, mainly in Europe.[2]
