The Greco-Italian War, was a war fought between the Kingdom of Italy (under Fascist control) and the Kingdom of Greece from October 1940 and April 1941.

in June 1940, Italy (under prime minister Benito Mussolini) joined World War II on the side of Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany and the Axis powers. participating in the Battle of France by invading through the Alps. Italy then invade British Somaliland in August and incorporated it into Italian East Africa. the next month in September started the North African Campaign by invading Egypt, but that failed. around the same time the Italian Press started to accused Greece of being an Ally of the United Kingdom. and Italy sunk a Greek ship. Mussolini sent Greece an ultimatum saying to give Italy Territory, but Greece Refuse. this resulted in an all out war between the two countries. on the 28th of October, Italian forces invaded from Albania (a country Italy Invaded in 1939) and captured a few kilometres of land before getting stuck in the mountainous and Muddy terrain. the Greek army pushed the Italians back to Albania with air and material support from the UK. Germany got involved in April 1941 when they invaded along with Invading Yugoslavia. unable to stop the German army the Italians were able to push back the Greek forces back to Greece where they surrendered.
