Hamed Bakayoko (8 March 1965 – 10 March 2021) was an Ivorian politician. He served as Prime Minister of the Ivory Coast (officially the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire) from 8 July 2020 until his death on 10 March 2021. He was also the Minister of Defence from 2017 until his death. Bakayoko was born in Abidjan.

Bakayoko had tested positive to COVID-19 more than three different times between April 2020 and February 2021. He also had malaria. On 10 March 2021, he died of cancer at a hospital in Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. He died two days after his 56th birthday.[1]
